Formula for calculating the amount of time in seconds it would take to transfer a file of 4GB in size?

Hi guys, what would the formula be for calculating the amount of time in seconds it would take to transfer a file of 4GB in size using a data transfer speed of 2 MBps (unit of bytes per second)? Any help would be muchly appreciated.|||I think you already know it...But still....

1 GB = 1024 MB = 1024 KB = 1024 BYTES

Now , it takes 1 second to transfer 2MB data...

then assume that it will take X seconds to transfer 4GB DATA..

Let us convert 4GB into MB first....

4 x 1024 = 4096 MB..

X = 4096/2

X = 2048 seconds..

HTH....|||The way you have it written, put the 4GB into MB

4GB = 4096MB (remember 1GB is 1024MB)

4096MB / 4MBps = ? seconds
